CAMPO CATALOGO
In our Campo Catalogo, officially recognized by CREA, we preserve and cultivate 12 rare grape varieties at risk of extinction. A special place where biodiversity becomes a tangible commitment and a living memory of our land.
SACCOLA BIANCA
White grape
A grape from the high Lessinia area, cultivated in traditional and marginal zones.
The vine is very vigorous, with compact bunches and thick skins. It offers good sugar accumulation and very high malic acidity, requiring careful vinification.
The wine is taut, vertical, and distinctly savory, ideal for sparkling wine bases.
ROSSIGNOLA VERONESE
Red grape
A historic grape of the Verona area, once widespread and now cultivated only in a few small plots. Vigorous and productive, it performs best with long pruning.
The wine retains its color well over time and offers above-average natural freshness.
It is ideal for adding lift and finesse to traditional blends.
PONTEDARA
Red grape
An ancient grape from Lessinia, preserved thanks to a few vines maintained in family vineyards.
Well adapted to cool mountain climates, it produces regular, healthy bunches.
The wine is marked by an intense purple color and aromas of wild blackberry, sour cherry, and pomegranate. It represents a strong element of local rural heritage.
POMELLA
Red grape
An ancient grape variety from Verona, now extremely rare, valued for its rustic character and natural resistance to disease.
The bunches ripen with good sugar levels and balanced acidity. The wine shows an intense ruby color, with aromas of sour cherry, blackberry and licorice.
Its solid structure and firm tannins allow for pleasant ageing over time.
PEDEVENDA
White grape
An ancient variety from the Colli Euganei and Breganze, vigorous and generous when carefully managed. It prefers well-exposed hillsides, where it develops broader and riper aromas.
Wines show floral and yellow fruit notes, with good structure and a firm savory character.
Their overall balance makes them versatile and long-lived.
LISEIRET
White grape
A very ancient European variety rediscovered in Lessinia, considered the progenitor of many noble grapes.
The vine has moderate vigor and medium-sized bunches but requires careful health management. Wines are fresh and bright, with aromas of green apple, almond, and medicinal herbs.
Its pronounced acidity makes it ideal for traditional-method sparkling wines.
LEONICENA
White grape
A grape variety from the Colli Berici, known for its exceptional resistance to cold and rot. Although vigorous, the vine produces limited but high-quality yields.
The wine is floral and citrus-driven, supported by marked acidity and pronounced salinity.
Its natural freshness makes it particularly suitable for sparkling wine production.
GAMBUGLIANA
Red grape
An autochthonous grape from the Vicenza area, rediscovered in a few old vines and officially recognized as an independent variety through DNA analysis.
It produces healthy, regular bunches and wines with a bright cherry-ruby color, also suitable for rosé styles. On the nose, vegetal and woodland notes evolve toward cherry and hazelnut.
The palate is fresh, harmonious, and slightly saline.
PELARA/DINDARELLA
Red grape
An ancient Veronese variety, today mainly recognized and valued in Valpolicella. The vine is vigorous, reliable and well suited to drying thanks to the excellent health of the bunches.
The wine shows a bright ruby color with notes of ripe cherry and musky nuances.
The “Pelara” version stands out for its lively acidity and a fresh, contemporary style.
ROSSA DANELA
Red grape
A nearly extinct Veronese grape, characterized by compact bunches and very bloom-covered berries.
This variety offers an interesting concentration of anthocyanins and a delicate aromatic profile. Wines are bright ruby in color, with floral and fruity notes of violet, raspberry, and plum.
Good acidity and a savory finish enhance its elegance.
CENERENTE
Red grape
An extremely rare grape, long confused with other local varieties. It is distinguished by medium-large bunches and small, heavily bloom-covered berries, from which the name “Cenerente” derives.
The vine is fertile but requires careful management in humid areas.
Wines display deep ruby color, aromas of small black fruits and spices, with vibrant acidity and well-defined tannins.
BREPONA (Molinara Bianca)
White grape
A variety from the Illasi and Tramigna valleys, characterized by very long, loose bunches, ideal for drying. It has consistent productivity and late ripening.
The wine combines freshness and salinity with notes of ripe apple, almond, and subtle spicy nuances.
Its persistence highlights its distinctive character.
